I have done 3 rounds (actually on day 6 of 3rd round) and, while I have every reason to believe the program produces good results, I want to say that it was not particularly pleasant to go through, at least for me - I felt hungry, somewhat weak, and slightly irritable throughout. I am not denying that others find the 5 days enjoyable, but I did not. And, for the first 2 rounds, I felt no different in the days, weeks, and months following an FMD cycle than I did before. So I trust the science - based on my layman research, the case for benefits is very compelling even if you do not "feel" them. The negatives I experienced during the 5 days were very manageable and I would NOT want to discourage people from trying Prolon FMD - quite the opposite, in fact.

Joel, you seem to have missed the role of Matrix Gla Protein in atherosclerosis.. Matrix Gla Protein (MGP) is a vitamin K-dependent protein that plays a critical role in preventing calcification of soft tissues, especially in the cardiovascular system. MGP is particularly important in the context of atherosclerosis, a chronic inflammatory condition characterized by the buildup of plaque in the arterial walls. Calcification of atherosclerotic plaques is a common feature of advanced atherosclerosis and is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular events, such as heart attacks and strokes. In a groundbreaking study by Luo et al. (1997), researchers investigated the function of MGP using a gene knockout experiment in mice. They created MGP-deficient mice by disrupting the MGP gene, effectively eliminating its expression. The results of this experiment provided compelling evidence for the role of MGP in preventing arterial calcification: 1. MGP-deficient mice developed severe calcification of the aorta and its branches within the first two months of life. This calcification was similar to the calcification observed in advanced atherosclerotic plaques in humans. 2. The extensive calcification of blood vessels led to reduced elasticity and increased stiffness, which are characteristic features of atherosclerosis. 3. The MGP-deficient mice died prematurely, typically within two months, due to blood vessel rupture caused by the severe calcification. These findings demonstrated that MGP is a key inhibitor of arterial calcification in vivo and that its absence can lead to accelerated development of atherosclerosis-like conditions. The study provided valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying the calcification of atherosclerotic plaques and highlighted the potential role of MGP in the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis. Since this initial study, further research has confirmed the importance of MGP in the context of atherosclerosis. Studies have shown that MGP is expressed in atherosclerotic plaques and that its expression is reduced in advanced calcified plaques. Additionally, polymorphisms in the MGP gene have been associated with increased risk of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease in humans. Reference: Luo, G., Ducy, P., McKee, M. D., Pinero, G. J., Loyer, E., Behringer, R. R., & Karsenty, G. (1997). Spontaneous calcification of arteries and cartilage in mice lacking matrix GLA protein. Nature, 386(6620), 78-81. doi.org/10.1038/386078a0

Here's a comparison of some key nutrients found in wheat germ and eggs: 1. Vitamin E: - Wheat germ is a rich source of vitamin E, but its bioavailability is relatively low due to the presence of phytates, which can inhibit absorption. - Eggs contain less vitamin E than wheat germ, but the bioavailability is higher because eggs have a lower phytate content. 2. B Vitamins: - Both wheat germ and eggs are good sources of B vitamins, including thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and folate. - The bioavailability of B vitamins in eggs is generally higher than in wheat germ, as eggs contain fewer anti-nutrient factors that can interfere with absorption. 3. Iron: - Wheat germ contains more iron than eggs, but the bioavailability of iron from plant sources (non-heme iron) is lower than from animal sources (heme iron). - Eggs contain less iron overall, but the heme iron found in egg yolks has higher bioavailability compared to non-heme iron in wheat germ. 4. Zinc: - Both wheat germ and eggs contain zinc, but the bioavailability of zinc from animal sources like eggs is generally higher than from plant sources like wheat germ. - The presence of phytates in wheat germ can also reduce zinc absorption.

In India, methanol in drinks is a really big concern. Moonshine is still a drink in both in rural or urban areas. The consumers mostly belong to the lower income classes due to the rising liqor prices. Also, there is a huge quantity of fake liquor sold with original bottles and the ingredients are highly questionable, considering the illicit nature.

I had angina for years. I am 26. I realized first pesnut butter was a trigger cut it out, then a few years later tried almond butter and it triggered it too, then a year later still struggling this whole time with angina, then i had some avocado oil mayo and found that was a trigger. Then i tried to replace it with cashews organic but found that too caused angina. Been a while now without angina except when i took calcium lots, btw d alpha tocopherol treats angina so does vitamin c so does niacin so does magnesium which is how i functioned the past years. I got to increase my betacarotene through whole foods and see if I can't get off the vitamin e. I don't eat much processed stuff besides no oil bread, no oil spaghetti sauce, sugar salt... 26 year olds don't get coronary artery disease unless they eat the wrong foods. It's not something that "just happens." Your carb and sugar intake is causing your problems. It's not a coincidence that you developed heart disease on a vegan diet with a high carb intake. Hope you at least look into it before you write off the easy solution to your severe condition.

@@constantineberryman4968 hey, so heart disease is generally considered to take years to develop. The pain is gone after removing oils. My left side of my body is smaller that the right. The left eye is worse. The left part has varicose veins. This has been true since 4th grade. My favorite foods were eggs, hot dogs, pizza etc... I used to eat 8 eggs relatively easily. Look up oil causes heart disease charts you can see the chart of heart disease and oil consumption are very similar. Look up Masai autopsy heart, and you'll see the that Masai had extensive heart disease likewise with Inuit. Success by Kempner, McDougall, suggests that the fat is the problem. If you believe heart disease has increased due to carbohydrates do you really think people are eating more potatoes, fruit, rice, squash corn, etc. ? My problems started well before the vegan diet
